Carrie Frye is a writer and editor living in Asheville, North Carolina. In addition to writing novels, poetry, and the stray essay (links to a few below), she runs Black Cardigan Edit, a book-editing business. Since founding Black Cardigan in 2016, she’s worked on numerous New York Times bestsellers and award-nominated novels, memoirs, and works of nonfiction, including a couple of Obama’s “favorite” picks. Before that, she was the managing editor for the late beloved website The Awl. She’s a graduate of Amherst College. She often signs off as “CAAF,” and uses “she/her” pronouns.
